3. Translation
95% of our specialists are qualified in law or finance and have many
years experience in these fields. In addition, they are all experienced translators
and work translating from a second language that they know intimately into their
native language.
As a general rule, our translators and proof-readers should be able to consult the person who wrote the original document. In our experience, technical mistakes in translations are often due to the fact that the translator was unable to consult the author on a particularly difficult or ambiguous piece of text. To have a translation of the highest possible quality, access to the document's author is vital.
4. Proof-reading
All our translations are systematically proof-read by another
experienced translator, who corrects and edits the work of the original translator,
comparing line by line the original document and the translation. This process
requires additional time but by using translators in different time zones, your
deadlines can be met.

checked
The original translator then examines the changes made by
the proof-reader, and, after further consultation with the proof-reader and/or
the client if required, accepts or rejects the proposed changes.

6. Vocabulary added to glossaries
This is an important stage, in particular
if your financial or legal document is on a technical subject which is outside
the normal scope of our skills, or if you want the translation to contain your
own terminology. For example, with each of our major financial customers, we
have drawn up a specific glossary of terms that are used by all of our translators
for that particular customer. We add to the glossaries constantly, as we work
with you, the customer. Our translators will question you on specific points,
and the information provided will go directly into the glossary for your firm.
In translation work, it is often necessary to seek information directly from the source. These sources may be companies' annual reports, official government publications, laws and regulations, etc. We constantly gather information of this kind and seek new sources. For example, we now have a database of several thousand financial analyses and annual reports that our translators consult systematically before starting their translations. If a legal translation refers to a foreign law, we go to the original text in order to make the translation as accurate as possible. We are permanently connected to the Internet, a tool that has considerably streamlined our work process, and have just had cable technology installed for faster access. We can do the research required for your translations faster than ever.
7. Regular customer satisfaction surveys
From time to time, we will
contact you to ask your opinion of the quality of our work. We very much want
to have your considered and professional opinion, and you can be sure that we
will take your comments into account. Making our translations even better depends
in part on your feedback. Of course, we are always happy to hear that the work
was well done, but we also want to hear about possible improvements. Don't hesitate
to tell us if there is a mistake or lack of precision, no matter how small.
